There are four different Ford Sierra differential sizes, identified by their diameter:

6.5" (165 mm) Fitted to some early Sierra 1300, 1600 and 1800 models – very rare.

7" (178 mm) Fitted to:

• Diesel 2500cc
• V6 2800cc

7.5" (190 mm) Fitted to:

• Sierra Sapphire 2000cc
• 2300cc
• V6 2800cc

9" (228 mm) Ford Motorsport differential only (Ford 909) – not fitted to road cars.
