The 40 DCOE 18K were originally developed for the Japanese market and for mounting on Lotus TwinCam big bore, hence a slightly different calibration from the 40 DCOE 18.

The 40 DCOE 18K are the ideal choice to maintain the classic look on a Twincam Lotus; the cover does not indicate "Made in Spain," there are plugs instead of screws on the progression holes, the venturis are held in place by clips, and there is no bypass air screw - see photos (the more modern 40 DCOE 151 have a slightly different appearance).
