This is the plug that holds the speed sensor in the gearbox tail.

The Type 2 gearbox is a 4-speed gearbox found on Ford Escort MK1/MK2 models (except on RS, Mexico and Twin Cam) and also on some early entry-level Ford Sierra models.

All FORD type 2 gearboxes have a clutch bell integrated into the main gearbox casing (non-removable) made of cast iron with an aluminum gearbox tail.

Primary shaft/gearbox input Ø 7/8'' and 20 splines, oil capacity of 0.9 litre.
