Ford Type 3

The Type 3 gearbox, or Type C in Europe, is a 4-speed single-rail gearbox found on Ford Cortina MK2 / MK3 / MK4 / MK5 1.3 and 1.6 models, as well as some Capri models and kit cars.

All FORD Type 3 gearboxes have a detachable bellhousing attached to the cast-iron main gearbox casing, with an aluminium tail housing.
