These bushes are designed for the lower mounting points of the front shock absorbers. They replace the original bushes and provide a durable solution when refurbishing or restoring the front suspension.

Polyurethane is particularly well suited to suspension applications because of its resistance to repeated movement, mechanical loads and wear. It also maintains its properties over time better than ageing rubber bushes, which can harden, crack or deform.

Shock absorber bushes are subjected to constant suspension movement. As the original rubber ages, it can lose its flexibility and allow increased movement around the shock absorber mounting.

Superflex bushes are not simply copies of the original rubber components. They are individually designed to take full advantage of the specific properties of polyurethane, including its durability, wear resistance and exceptional resistance to friction and mechanical loads.

Superflex polyurethane bushes are available in hardness ratings ranging from approximately 50 Shore A (soft) to 99 Shore A (firm), with a tolerance of +/- 3 points. Different hardness levels are used in different positions on the vehicle according to the loads experienced at each location.

The appropriate hardness is therefore generally pre-selected by Superflex for the application. Customers do not normally need to choose the hardness unless a specific option is offered in the listing.

For certain applications, bushes in a firmer polyurethane grade may also be available by special order.
