These bushes are fitted to the rear shackles of the rear leaf springs. They allow the leaf springs to move correctly while maintaining controlled movement between the springs and the shackles.

Over time, original rubber bushes can harden, crack or deform. Replacing them with polyurethane provides a durable solution for restoring this important part of the rear suspension.

These are the bushes corresponding to the parts circled in red in the diagram supplied with the listing. They are for the rear shackles of the leaf springs, rather than the bushes fitted at the front eye of the leaf springs (see PAF1214K).

Superflex bushes are not simply copies of the original rubber components. They are individually designed to take full advantage of the specific properties of polyurethane, including its durability, wear resistance and exceptional resistance to friction and mechanical loads.

Superflex polyurethane bushes are available in hardness ratings ranging from approximately 50 Shore A (soft) to 99 Shore A (firm), with a tolerance of +/- 3 points. Different hardness levels are used in different positions on the vehicle according to the loads experienced at each location.

The appropriate hardness is therefore generally pre-selected by Superflex for the application. Customers do not normally need to choose the hardness unless a specific option is offered in the listing.

For certain applications, bushes in a firmer polyurethane grade may also be available by special order.
